PALATINE, IL- The Harper College women's soccer team traveled to Malta on Wednesday to take on the Kishwaukee College Kougars. The Hawks scored early and often in this one as they cruised to a 7-1 win.
Harper had five different players notch either a goal or an assist in this one.
Julia Szylke () took control of most of the offense for the Hawks as she scored 4 goals on 10 shots. Also making their mark in the scorebook were
Morgan Ragusin (Elk Grove Village/Conant) (goal, assist),
Lauren Talesky () (goal, assist),
Jonna Kilger (Crystal Lake/Prairie Ridge) (goal, assist) and
Daniela Herrera (Wheeling/Wheeling) (assist).
Getting the win in goal was freshman
Sydney Heinrich (Hoffman Estates/Fremd), who allowed one goal and made 7 saves.
With the victory, the Hawks move their record to 6-4 as they head into an N4C matchup with the College of DuPage Chaparrals on Friday. Kick-off is scheduled for 4pm at Harper.
