PALATINE, IL- The Harper College women's soccer team hosted the Rock Valley College Golden Eagles on Wednesday. The Hawks dominated from the get-go and took down RVC 5-1.
Harper was able to get the scoring started early and often as sophomore
Julia Szylke () scored just 2:57 into the match. That was not all for the 2017 All-American, as Szylke scored again 11 minutes later. The Hawks then extended their lead to 3-0 when Chole Serviss found the back of the net in the 30th minute.
The score would remain the same until the 68th minute when
Jordan Biez ()e got her chance and put the Hawks ahead 4-0. Rock Valley would chip away at the lead in the 74th minute, but then gave it right back after an own goal in the 86th. At the end of 90 minutes, the Hawks closed out a 5-1 win.
With the victory, the Hawks moved their record to 5-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Their next match will be Friday at 4pm as they host the Madison College WolfPack.
