PALATINE, IL-  The Harper College men's soccer team battled the Joliet Junior College Wolves to a hard-fought draw on Wednesday.

The Hawks got the scoring started in quick fashion as Pedro Botello (Rolling Meadows) took an Anthony Montesinos (Rolling Meadows) pass for an early goal in the first minute of play.  The match would remain tied until Joliet evened the score at 1 apiece in the 24'.  At the end of the first half, the score would stay 1-1.

The second half saw plenty of action as both teams looked for the go ahead goal.  The half saw 16 total shots and 18 fouls between the two teams.  However, neither side could find the back of the net, leading to overtime.

Once again, not devoid of action, the scoring never came.  Despite outshooting the Wolves 17-12, the Hawks had to settle for a 1-1 tie of their N4C opponent.

With the tie, the Hawks moved to 2-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in N4C play.  Conference play will continue into Friday when the Hawks play host to the Stormers from MATC.  Kick-off is scheduled for 4pm.
