Women's Soccer Season Ends as Region IV Runners-Up

Palatine, IL: The Harper College women's soccer team season ended on Saturday at Joliet Junior College in a 5-1 loss in the Region IV Championship game.

Joliet scored the first three goals of the game before Norah Hagler scored a deep free kick for Harper at the 40:00 minute mark. This was the only goal of the game for the Hawks as Joliet went on to score twice more in the second half.

The Hawks finished the season as the Region IV runner-ups and an overall record of 3-5-2. Standouts for Hawks this year were sophomores Norah Hagler and Samantha Sander as well as freshmen Alexandra Saucedo and Meghan Ewanio. Hagler finished with 15 goals in 10 games and Sander with 3 goals and 7 assists in 10 games. Saucedo finished with 5 goals and 3 assists in 8 games. Ewanio had a strong season tallying 125 saves.
