Hawks Basketball Lose Home Opener

Palatine, IL: The Harper Hawks men's basketball team started the season at home vs Grand Rapids Community College. The team has only one athlete returning this season and new Head Coach LaMario Richards is setting out to change the culture of the program with his new recruits. Unfortunately, you can't win every game when rebuilding as the Hawks lost 75 to 58.

Takari Jones, Daniel Tewogbade, John Morgan, Christopher Charite, and James Sinclair were the starters. Sinclair led the team in scoring with 13 points and added 10 rebounds as well. Morgan and Jones were both in double digits with 11 and 10 points. Jones added 10 rebounds and 4 assists as well. Tewogbade had 3 blocks.

The team will look to rebound at Oakton College on Tuesday, November 7th, at 7 PM.
