Harper College fell to Morton College Panthers 10-9 on Sunday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at nine with Morton College Panthers batting in the bottom of the eighth when JD Swarbrick singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
The Hawks got on the board right away, with a solo home run by Ehringer Adriaza to centerfield.
After Harper College scored three runs in the top of the sixth, Morton College Panthers answered with three of their own.

Ehinger Adrianza (Miami, FL/Felix Varela Senior High) to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Morton College Panthers then answered when Ryan Jenkins drew a walk, scoring one run and Luke Brabham singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Morton College Panthers tied things up at nine when Diego Da Rin doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Steven Byrne (Schaumburg, IL/Schaumburg High School) was on the mound for Harper College. The pitcher went five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out one.
Jermaine Salcedo (Arlington Heights, IL/Rolling Meadows High School) threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Harper College racked up ten hits on the day.
Micah O'Neal (Forest Park, IL/Guerin Prep High School) and Jusi each managed multiple hits for Harper College. O'Neal had a huge game at the plate, going 3-4 with 4 runs scored, an RBI, double, and a stolen base.
The Hawks didn't commit a single error in the field.
Harper returns home on Monday with a N4C double-header against NJCAA DII #6 ranked Madison College. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
