Hawks WBB Edged Out by Illinois Valley

Oglesby, IL: The Harper Hawks women's basketball team put up a strong fight but came up just short in a 43-39 loss to Illinois Valley on Thursday evening. The closely contested game saw the Hawks battle hard until the final buzzer, but they were unable to secure a win, falling to 1-6 on the season.

Kinsley Stillman and Anjanae Tyree led the way for Harper, each scoring 8 points while making their presence felt on the boards. Stillman added 7 rebounds, while Tyree hauled in 9, showcasing their grit in the paint. However, the Hawks struggled to generate consistent offense in a low-scoring affair, allowing Illinois Valley to escape with the narrow victory.


The Hawks will look to regroup and get back on track as they prepare for Oakton, Daley, and Illinois Valley again the week after Thanksgiving break.
