Hawks Top Kennedy-King on Saturday

Palatine, IL: The Hawks won both games in a double-header at home vs Kennedy-King on Saturday. The first game ended in five innings with a score of 12-2. The second game went all seven with a final score of 16-3.

Game 1

Kyle Odeshoo and Derek Costilla each had multi-hit games and Odeshoo added a triple. Odeshoo, Brian Jensen, and Trevor Delporte each had two RBIs. The team also looked to be trying out for track as they stole 14 bases led by Kaleb Nelson with three.

Michael Del Genio went all five innings earning the win and striking out four.


Game 2
In game two the Hawks bats were alive again as
Ethan Dorka, Tommy Jusi, Jensen, and Cameron King all had two hits. Dorka, Josh Mathew, Cole Ratliff all tripled and Nelson doubled. Mathew led the team with three RBIs and Dorka, Jusi, Jensen, and King each added two.

Five different pitchers went on the mound.
Logan Leber wound up with the win and Mason Hulligan earned the save.


The Hawks play next at home today vs McHenry.
