Palatine, IL: Harper College vs. Bryant & Stratton

On Tuesday, September 26, Harper College swept Bryant & Stratton in a dominant 3-0 win (25-19, 25-15, 25-13) at home. The Hawks controlled the match from start to finish, showcasing strong offense, efficient serving, and a solid defensive effort.

Set 1: Harper Wins 25-19
After a tight start at 13-13, Harper pulled ahead late in the set, thanks to key plays from
Mira Tchohadjieva, who contributed 3 kills and 1.5 blocks. Evie Mounts added 5 kills, while Abby Major and Kaylee Obrzut chipped in with 6 and 5 digs respectively. Taylor Coutts was 5-for-6 serving with an ace, helping the Hawks close out the set.

Set 2: Harper Wins 25-15
Harper jumped out to a 5-0 lead behind
Jasmine Nitu's serving. The second set saw an impressive offensive performance from Tchohadjieva, who notched 5 kills, including her last 4 swings in a row. Mounts added another 6 kills, alongside 1.5 blocks. Major continued her stellar serving, going 10-for-10 with an ace, while Nitu was perfect with 7-for-7 serving. Harper's serving and solid defense widened the gap.

Set 3: Harper Wins 25-13
The Hawks maintained control in the third set, leading from start to finish.
Mounts added 4 more kills to finish the match with a team-high 15 kills on 35 attempts (34% efficiency). Maya Sokolowski added 3 kills in the set, while Major remained perfect from the service line, going 5-for-5 to finish 19-for-19 with an ace for the match. Harper sealed the sweep with a 25-13 victory.

Evie Mounts: Led the team with 15 kills, hitting at 34% efficiency, along with 1.5 blocks and 8 digs.
