In the second set, the chess game continued on the court… there were 6 ties at 5-5, 9-9, 12-12 14-14, 15-15, and 18-18.  Then Harper Volleyball took a 20-18 lead, but lost 21-25.

With the match tied at 1 set apiece, Moraine Valley made some adjustments that Harper did not counter…In the 3rd set, after ties at 4-4 and 5-5, Moraine Valley swiped Harper's Queen, and took control of the match for good.  Harper fell behind 9-15 and lost 13-25.

Coach Bob Vilsoet said, "Although we played well in the first 2 sets, we could not close that pivotal second set, and we did not put all our
flashes of brilliance together all at once for the entire match. Moraine Valley is one of the TOP teams in our Region IV, Division II, yet again this year. We are still improving and have a high ceiling."

Next matches will be on Saturday, September 7, at St. Ambrose University, in Davenport, Iowa.
