Hawks Overpowered by #13 Chiefs

Sugar Grove, IL: The Hawks faced a tough challenge against the nationally ranked Waubonsee Chiefs, falling 108-76 in a game dominated by the Chiefs' depth and offensive firepower.  

Waubonsee jumped out to an early lead, building a 49-32 advantage at halftime and never looking back. Their balanced attack featured seven players scoring in double figures, with Christian Meeks leading the way with 16 points.  

For the Hawks, Connor Pritchard led all scorers with 17 points, while Amari Northcutt added 16 points and Darrion Pippen chipped in 10. Despite their strong shooting effort at 49.2% from the field, the Hawks struggled from the free-throw line, converting just 53.8%. They also managed 30.8% from beyond the arc but couldn't match the Chiefs' relentless offensive pace.  

The loss highlighted the difficulty of facing a nationally ranked opponent, but the Hawks will aim to learn from the experience as they move forward in their season.
