Short-Handed Hawks Grind Out Win Over Kougars

Palatine, IL: Despite being shorthanded due to an illness affecting multiple key players, the Hawks men's basketball team dug deep to earn a gritty 61-57 victory over the Kishwaukee Kougars on Saturday afternoon.  

Stepping into a starting role, Connor Pritchard delivered a monster performance with 18 points and 13 rebounds, setting the tone for the Hawks. Amari Northcutt, known for his relentless energy, fueled Harper's effort on both ends of the floor, contributing 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Vanja Mrduljas provided a crucial spark off the bench, adding 11 points to keep the Hawks on track.  

With adversity stacking against them, Harper rallied around each other, showing resilience and determination to close out the win. The victory moves the Hawks forward with momentum as they look to get back to full strength in the coming games. They will play at Rock Valley on Tuesday before hosting Joliet on Thursday for Sophomore Night.
