Hawks Battle #4 Triton to Wire

Palatine, IL: The Hawks men's basketball team closed out their season with a hard-fought battle against the #4-ranked Triton Trojans at the Hawks Fieldhouse. Despite coming in as significant underdogs, Harper pushed Triton to the brink, leading for much of the game before the Trojans pulled away late for the win.  

The game was knotted at 26-26 at halftime, as the Hawks matched Triton's intensity on both ends of the floor. Harper continued to hold a slight edge through most of the second half, displaying strong teamwork and resilience. However, Triton capitalized on key late-game opportunities to escape with the victory.  

Three Hawks finished in double figures, with Joe Calombo Kimbirima leading the way with 12 points. Amari Northcutt and Connor Pritchard each added 10 points, while Sean Spencer made a major impact inside, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking three shots. Andre Anderson facilitated the offense with six assists, and Ibukunoluwakitan Sonoiki provided an energetic spark off the bench.  


Despite the loss, the Hawks left it all on the court, showcasing heart and determination against one of the nation's top teams. It was a gutsy performance to close out the season, proving that Harper could compete with the best.
