Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Peeples With 24 Against Madison

Madison, WI: The Hawks men's basketball team played a competitive game at Madison College on November 22 but came up short in an 81-64 road loss. Harper battled through both halves and showed offensive sparks, yet Madison's efficiency and depth ultimately outpaced the Hawks.

Harper was led by
Rashad Peeples, who finished with 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting and a 4-of-9 mark from three-point range. Darrion Pippen added eight points and nine rebounds while contributing defensively and pushing the pace, and Wesley White scored eight points with active rebounding. Isaiah Manley provided seven points with a made triple, and Joe Calombo Kimbirima contributed 10 points with strong free-throw shooting. Oscar Engfors chipped in three points. Vanja and Marin Mrduljas offered defensive energy and rotational minutes, and freshman center Kevin Edgecombe saw action as part of the rotation.

Harper shot an efficient 48 percent from the field overall and converted 5-of-16 from deep, keeping the game close in stretches. The Hawks scored 30 points in the first half and 34 in the second, demonstrating resilience and the ability to generate good looks against Madison's defense. Harper also hit 7-of-10 free throws and recorded 10 points in the paint as part of an effort to balance scoring.

Madison pulled ahead by outscoring Harper in key moments and maintained a lead through most of the second half. The WolfPack's control of the boards and timely scoring runs helped them extend the lead, and despite Harper's effort on both ends, the deficit proved too great to overcome.
