2015 Season 
Women’s Cross Country-2015 NJCAA Region IV Champs, Second Place at NJCAA Championships

The Harper College women’s cross country team placed second at the NJCAA Championships in Holyoke, Massachusetts. This marks the second straight year the Hawks have finished runner-up.  Harper finished with 87 points, behind only national champion Suffolk Community College (64 points). Ali Gutt and Leslie Rosiles were the Hawks’ two All-Americans. Gutt ran an excellent race and placed second in the nation, and Rosiles took 12th place.

The women’s team also combined with the men’s team to win the Gary Moore Award, given to the combined best program in the nation at the NJCAA Div. III level.

2014 Season
Women’s Cross Country-2014 NJCAA Region IV Champs, Second Place at NJCAA Championships

After a successful 2013 season that saw the Hawks take sixth at nationals, the Harper College women’s Cross Country program soared to new heights in 2014. The team was tied at the top of the national poll for much of the season and once again won the Region IV Championship at the Div. III level. At the national meet in Canadaigua, N.Y., the Hawks scored 89 points and finished second in the nation behind only Mohawk Valley Community College (63 points). The runner-up finish marked the highest finish in school history for the women’s cross country program.

Marisa Andreuccetti (11th place) and Silvia Catalan (14th place) both earned All-American honors for the Hawks. Stephanie Chaires (16th place), Lori Delfin (18th place), and Itzel Sotelo (31st place) also factored into the scoring as well. Maria Barajas (46th place) and Cynthia Siddiqui (73rd place) also ran strong races.

2013 Season
Women’s Cross Country-Sixth place at NJCAA Championships

The Harper College Women’s Cross Country program grew as a program in the 2013 season, and the future looks very bright for the Hawks. The team won the Region IV Championship at the Div. III level and performed well at nationals. Six women from Harper College competed in the national meet in Northfield, Mass., where the Hawks took sixth place in the nation out of 12 teams.

Stephanie Chaires placed as Harper’s top runner, taking 23rd place at the meet while Marisa Andreuccetti came in 31st place.

2012 Season
The Harper College Women’s Cross Country program took a big step forward in the 2012 season and continues to grow under the direction of Jim Macnider. Two women from Harper College competed in the national meet in Delhi, N.Y., highlighted by a fifth place finish by Jordan Wagner to earn First Team All-American honors.

Teammate Gabby Beaupre also ran in the meet and placed 73rd. Macnider knows the area is loaded with talent and is optimistic he can build a future national championship team on the women’s side.

2010 Season
The Harper College Women’s Cross Country team also captured 1st place in the NJCAA Region IV Championships and advanced to the NJCAA D-III National Championships at Suffolk County (NY) Community College in New York. At Nationals, the team finished in the Top-10 (5th Place).


2009 Season
The Lady Hawks also enjoyed a successful season, capturing 1st Place in the Division III Region IV Regionals, and Chelsea McPherson would capture 1st Place in the individual standings. Head Coach Paul Paynter also earned Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year honors for the 2009 season. Heading into the Nationals the Lady Hawks were ranked 9th, and they moved up 3 spots to finish in 6th Place Nationally.
 
2008 Season
Harper’s Women’s Cross Country Team placed four out of the top six runners as Irene Valladares took top honors at the Region Championship. Valladares placed third at Nationals and was named Women’s Cross Country All – American.
 
2007 Season
On the women’s side, Heather Cebulko was the Region Champion and was named All-American. Coach Delahunt was named Men’s Region Coach of the year.
 
2006 Season
Harper produced Conference and Regional Champs in Men and Women Cross Country and in Volleyball. These three teams were also successful nationally: Our Women’s CC Team finished 2nd2  Women’s Cross Country

2005 Season
Harper’s cross country teams were also very successful. After capturing the Region IV Championship at Waubonsee Community College, the men's team took 7th in the Nation and the women were 8th at the NJCAA Nationals in New York.

2004 Season
Both cross country teams were solid as the men’s team captured the Region IV title and finished sixth at the national meet while the women claimed seventh.

2002 Season
Harper maintained its status as one of the best community college cross country men’s and women’s programs in the nation with its third straight qualification for the national NJCAA finals in coach Jack Ary’s third year of coaching.  Eric Wallor (Fremd) provided most of the 2002 season highlights with three first-place finishes in area invites (where most of the competitors were from four-year colleges), a first place in the Region IV 5K race, and an 11th place finish in the national finals. He was named an All-American. Ebony Oliver (Lake Park HS) was the leading runner for the women all season. Harper consistently out-ran athletes from many of the four-year schools at invites throughout the season. ?

2001 Season
Harper had its second straight outstanding season under the direction of Coach Jack Ary. The Hawks defeated most of the four year school teams they faced, and the Women’s team finished 6th in the nation. Melanie Schwarz (Hoffman Estates) and Eric Wallor (Fremd) were named All-Americans for excellent performances at nationals, as well as being named Most Valuable Players for the Women’s and the Men’s teams, respectively.
