Aaron London joins the Harper College men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026–27 season, bringing nearly two decades of coaching, player development, and grassroots basketball experience throughout the Chicagoland area.
London has built a strong reputation for developing players and creating opportunities for athletes to continue their basketball careers at the collegiate and professional levels. His background spans high school basketball, AAU leadership, youth development, and college prospect evaluation.
Most recently, London served as an assistant varsity coach at Lincoln Park High School during the 2025–26 season, helping guide the program to its first Chicago Public League Championship appearance in more than 120 years. He also currently serves as an assistant coach with the Illinois Wolves UAA program, where he works with high-level college prospects competing on the national AAU circuit.
London is the founder and owner of MAN UP Basketball, LLC, an organization established in 2016 that has grown into one of the area’s recognized grassroots basketball programs. Under his leadership, MAN UP expanded into multiple franchises, including Northbrook and Crystal Lake, and has provided competitive basketball opportunities to more than 2,000 athletes.
Prior to MAN UP Basketball, London owned and operated Illinois Old School AAU, LLC from 2011 to 2016. During that time, he helped more than 100 student-athletes earn opportunities to play college basketball. Several players developed within his programs have gone on to high-level collegiate and professional careers, including Danny Wolf of the Brooklyn Nets, Jeremy Fears at Michigan State, Jeremiah Fears of the New Orleans Pelicans, Nick Martinelli at Northwestern, Cooper Noard at Cornell, and Asa Thomas at UIC.
Earlier in his coaching career, London served as head boys basketball coach at the University of Chicago Woodlawn Campus from 2009 to 2011, where he built the program from the ground up. Before that, he coached at Lincoln Park High School as the head freshman boys basketball coach, helping the team capture a Chicago Public League Red North Championship and a second-place finish in the CPL Freshman Tournament during the 2008–09 season. He also coached at the elementary level within the Chicago Public League, leading a sixth through eighth grade program to a second-place finish during the 2007–08 season.
London earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education for grades 6–12 from Northeastern Illinois University in 2006 before completing his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Roosevelt University in 2008.
Known for his energy, relationship-building, and deep connections throughout Illinois basketball, London brings extensive recruiting ties and player development experience to the Harper program. His background in grassroots basketball and long-standing involvement with youth and high school athletes throughout the state will play a major role in strengthening Harper’s recruiting presence and community engagement efforts.
