Coach Joseph McCormick joins the Harper Hawks Track & Field coaching staff for the 2025 season as a volunteer coach, bringing a wealth of expertise in strength and conditioning, as well as sprinting, relays, and jumps.

A former collegiate sprinter, Coach McCormick earned his B.S. in Sports Medicine from Southwest Baptist University, where he developed a deep understanding of athletic performance and biomechanics. His passion for helping athletes maximize their potential extends to his role as Harper’s Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, where he implements programs designed to enhance power, speed, and overall fitness.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach McCormick is furthering his knowledge by studying massage therapy at Harper College, a pursuit that complements his work in athletic performance. He also trains clients at Orangetheory Fitness, showcasing his dedication to fitness and holistic well-being both on and off the field.

With his diverse skill set and commitment to athlete development, Coach McCormick is an invaluable addition to the Hawks’ coaching staff.
