Coach Don Curley started coaching at Harper as a volunteer coach in 2022 as the League of Legends JV coach and took over as the head coach in 2023. He started coaching esports when he was attending Robert Morris University in 2019. He coached the support position for the RMU League of Legends varsity team.
Playing Career
Coach Curley started competing for the first time as a senior in high school in 2014. The following year, he attended RMU on an esports scholarship and started on the JV roster. RMU was the first college to offer scholarships, and this was their second year doing it, so everything was very new and exciting. He competed all four years at RMU and was on the varsity team his senior year. During his college career, he was able to travel around the country making the finals and competing in various tournaments in Texas, California, Kansas, and more. After college, he continued to compete in some amateur circuits.

Career
Coach Curley does contract work for Red Bull gaming events & is a lacrosse referee IBLA (Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association).
