Box Score MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Continuing their strong play from over the weekend, the Harper College men's soccer team defeated Milwaukee Area Technical College 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

After beating Madison College at home on Friday for their first victory and losing 1-0 to #12 South Suburban College (Div. I) on Saturday, Harper (2-5, 2-2 N4C) wasted no time in building on that momentum against Milwaukee.

Daniel Hoffman (Prospect) scored in the 21st minute to give the Hawks an early lead.  Colton Caesius (Inverness, Ill., Fremd) and Brayhan Nunez (Mount Prospect, Prospect) were credited with assists.  Jason Palmas scored unassisted in the 35th minute to put Harper ahead 2-0 at intermission.

That lead held until the Stormers got on the scoreboard in the 70th minute courtesy of a penalty kick.  But Hoffman added an important insurance tally in the 87th minute for his second goal of the day.  Omer Aboalukul (Tampa, Fla., Tampa) got the assist.

Sean Cox (Schaumburg, Ill., Conant) earned the victory in goal, making one save.

The Hawks get a nine day break from game action before getting a rematch with Joliet Junior College on Sept. 21.  The Wolves won the first contest 4-0 on Aug. 29.
