PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper women's soccer team and N4C rival College of DuPage were locked in a scoreless draw until the Chaparrals finally broke through.  Sophomore striker Angela Toritto provided the game-winning goal in the 84th minute as she took a deflected ball and put it past Harper goalkeeper Nicole Soderholm (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) to give the visitors a 1-0 victory.

Toritto and the potent DuPage offense (3.4 goals/game) had been held in check by the Hawks (2-5, 2-4 N4C) for much of the afternoon before she scored her 15th goal of the season, a left-footed blast to the right corner of the net that proved to be the difference.

Soderholm (13 saves) made 10 saves in the first half to thwart off the Chapparal attack. The Hawks turned up the attack in the second half and had several scoring opportunities. Kristen Serviss (/Huntley), Sarah George (/Schaumburg) and Jillian Zelek (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) all put shots on goal late in the second half. Zelek's opportunity came on a feed inside the box from Danielle Reptowski (/Schaumburg) with just 10 minutes left in the game, but DuPage goalkeeper Kylie Paul stopped each attempt.
