PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College women's soccer team and Madison College played to a 1-1 draw on Friday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, midfielder Katie Kushner (/Barrington) broke through with her first goal of the season in the 69th minute to give Harper (3-8-2, 3-5-2 N4C) a 1-0 edge. The WolfPack (4-6-2, 3-5-1 N4C) tied the game in the final two minutes as Elizabeth Conejo scored on a feed from Tynia Goldensoph. Neither team could break through in the two overtime sessions, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Goalkeeper Nicole Soderholm (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) made 16 saves for the Hawks. The two teams were evenly matched with 17 shots apiece on net. Kristen Serviss (/Huntley) led Harper with eight shots on goal, and Danielle Reptowski (/Schaumburg) put three shots on goal.

The Hawks are back on the pitch on Monday afternoon as they host Morton College (3-8) in a final tune-up before the playoffs. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM.
