Playoff Bracket
PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College women's soccer team (4-8-2) drew the #4 seed and will open postseason play tomorrow at noon on the road at #1 seed Rock Valley College (10-2).
On the other side of the bracket, #2 seed College of DuPage (12-3-2) will host #3 Madison College (5-6-2) tomorrow at noon. The winners will meet in the Region IV Championship at 3 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the higher seed.
Head-to-Head
The Golden Eagles took both games from the Hawks in the season series, winning 3-1 at Harper Sept. 19 and 7-0 at home Oct. 15. Kassidy Kushner (/Barrington) scored the lone goal for Harper in the two games.
Key Hawks
Katie Kushner (/Barrington) and Danielle Reptowski (/Schaumburg) lead the Hawks with three goals apiece on the season. Kushner recently scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Morton College. Kristen Serviss (/Huntley) has put the most shots on goal for the Hawks this season and has scored two goals.
Goalkeeper Nicole Soderholm (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) will have to be at her best to contain a potent Rock Valley attack that has scored 40 goals in 12 games (3.3/game).
Key Golden Eagles
Maura Korchak leads the Golden Eagles' offense with 12 goals, and Sadey Jumapao is also in double figures with 10 goals. Kelsea Berg (eight goals) and Hayley Reeser (five goals) also pose a threat.
Goalkeepers Kylie Morris and Lexi Rios have split time pretty evenly between the pipes. Rock Valley has surrendered just eight goals in 12 games, and eight of 10 wins have come by shutout.
