Box Score PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College women's soccer team was unable to pull out a victory against Rochester Community and Technical College on Saturday afternoon, losing 3-0.
The Yellow Jackets (3-3-2) did all of their scoring in the first 21 minutes of the game. Michele Cook scored the game's first goal in the 15th minute on a rebound from a Nicole Soderholm (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) save. They scored once again in the 19th minute as Kelsey Aylward beat Soherholm on a feed from Reigan Struck. Just a minute-and-a-half later, Aylward scored her second goal of the game on an assist from Abigail Ramirez.
For the second straight game, Soderholm was superb in goal with 23 saves, including 17 in the first half. The Hawks (2-3) were limited in their scoring chances throughout the match. Kristen Serviss (/Huntley) was the most effective offensive player with four shots (two on goal).
Harper looks to get back on track Wednesday afternoon as they travel to N4C opponent Madison College (0-4-1, 0-3 N4C) for a 4 PM game.
