PALATINE, Ill. – Harper sophomore forward Danielle Reptowski (Hanover Park, Ill./Schaumburg) showed off her ability on the offensive end on Wednesday afternoon. Reptowski scored three goals to lead the Hawks (6-6, 4-3 N4C) to a 4-1 win over visiting Rock Valley (6-3, 6-2 N4C).
Reptowski's hat trick was her fourth time this season she's scored three or more goals in a match. Her first goal came just 36 seconds before halftime. Kristen Serviss (Huntley, Ill./Huntley) sent a corner kick into the box, and Reptowski jumped up and headed the ball into the net to give Harper a 1-0 edge heading into intermission.
Harper scored just over two minutes into the second half as Reptowski found Alyciah Gutierrez (Chicago, Ill./Gordon Tech), who scored her third goal of the year. In the 58th minute, Reptowski scored her second goal of the game on an assist from Nicole Soderholm (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) to give the Hawks a 3-0 cushion.
Rock Valley cut into the lead after Harper was called for a hand ball in the box. Sadey Jumapao scored on the penalty kick, her team-leading 10th goal of 2015, to make it a 3-1 game.
Less than two minutes later, Reptowski delivered once again, scoring her third goal of the game and 14th of the year on a feed from Kassidy Kushner (Barrington, Ill./Barrington).
Harper goalkeeper Sonia Valencia (Wheeling, Ill/Wheeling) made nine saves and picked up the win.
The Hawks play host to Joliet Junior College (0-10-1, 0-7 N4C) on Friday at 4 PM.
Notes: Reptowski's 14 goals is tied for the most on the team with Kushner … Reptowski also leads the team with eight assists … as a team, the Hawks have scored 43 goals (ninth in nation) in 12 games (3.6/game).
