Palatine, Ill- The Harper College scoring machine that is Ricky Choi kept on churning Saturday afternoon in Madison, Wis. The freshman striker recorded two goals leading the Hawks (15-2-1) to a 3-1 victory over Region IV number one seed Madison College (14-2-2).

After conceding just ten minutes into the match, the Hawks played a sparkling 80 minutes of soccer to dominate the Region IV championship match. For its efforts, Harper will get to host the district championship match on its home turf Oct. 29.

Andrew Janikowski (/Dundee-Crown) and Choi were nothing short of remarkable on Saturday tallying three goals and two assists, combined. Janikowski's goal knotted the game at a goal apiece 31 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Choi put the Hawks up for good by beating Madison keeper, Juan Martinez.

For good measure, Choi added his second goal of the day in the final minute of play. The freshman now has 20 goals and four assists in 2016.

After giving up the early goal, the Harper back line was stout in front of keeper, Christian Hyde (/Conant). Hyde made five saves on the day, playing 80 minutes of clean soccer after the Madison goal.

With the win, the Hawks advance to play for the District Championship on Oct. 29 in Palatine. Kickoff will be at noon. Harper plays the winner of Anoka-Ramsey Community College (14-2) and Richland College (11-2).
