Palatine, Ill- The Harper College women's soccer team went toe-to-toe with the No.2 ranked team in the nation, Rock Valley College, for 104 minutes before dropping at heartbreaker 0-1. The Hawks fell to 7-3-1 (5-3-1) on the season, while Rock Valley improved to 12-0-1 (7-0-1 N4C).

Despite not scoring in the contest, Harper forward Julia Morales (/Schaumburg) was dangerous in the overtime periods and forced Rock Valley keeper, Madison Vicenio, to make numerous saves. The Hawks defense was stout throughout the affair, before conceding a goal on a cross with less than six minutes left to play.

The Hawks will look to bounce back Oct. 7 against Joliet Junior College in Palatine. The Hawks handled Joliet (3-10, 1-6 N4C) 3-0 in their first matchup.
