PALATINE, IL-  The Harper College women's soccer team traveled to Elgin to take on the host ECC Spartans on Monday.  The Hawks came out with a 3-0 victory.

Harper took control early as Julia Szylke () scored the team's first goal in the 10' of the match.  Szylke would then remain the Hawks' primary offensive weapon as she scored the next two goals to give her a hat trick and the Hawks a 3-0 win.  Isabel Esquivel (Palatine/Palatine) had two assists on Szylke's goals.

The Hawks put pressure on the Spartans early and often, totaling 20 shots in the match.  Goalkeeper Sydney Heinrich (Hoffman Estates/Fremd) preserved the shutout with 5 saves.

The win puts the Hawks' record at 2-2 overall.  Their next match is scheduled against fellow N4C opponent College of DuPage.  Kickoff in Glen Ellyn is scheduled for 4pm.
