Harper Volleyball defeated Elgin 3-0

Palatine, IL: Harper College defeated Elgin in 3 straight sets, 25-14, 25-12, and 25-7.

In the first set, Harper spotted themselves a 4-0 lead, and then extended to 11-3 when Elgin called a timeout. Harper coasted to a 25-14 win. Taylor Knuth had 6 kills on 10 swings. Ava Belluomini added 3 kills on 6 attacks. Eden Suh was 5-6 serving with 3 aces.

In the second set, after the score was tied at 9-9, Harper zoomed ahead to win 25-12. Knuth stayed hot with 4 more kills on 8 attacks. This time Regina Anelli joined the fray with 3 kills on 3 attacks. Abby Major was 5-6 serving with 2 aces.

In the final set, Harper took a 4-1 lead on the way to a 25-7 win. Knuth added another 5 kills to get to 15 kills for the match. Anelli added 3 more kills and had 7 kills on 11 swings for the match. Major was 7-7 serving with 3 aces. Knuth was 6-6 serving with an ace. Belluomini dusted off her topper serve and score 3 aces in this set. Harper served 18 aces in the match, and only needed 33 digs. Suh earned 28 assists for the match. 

 

Next up – Nationally ranked #7 College of DuPage will be at Harper on Thursday, October 5, 2023, 6:00 p.m.  Should be a good match!
