Both teams were strong on the hill on Sunday, but MATC was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Harper College on Sunday.

Jason Gutkowski (Roselle, IL/Lake Park High School) started the game for Harper College and recorded 20 of the 21 outs needed to complete the complete game shutout. The sophomore surrendered two runs on nine hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

After recording a quick first out in the seventh on a ground out to Nic Castrovillari (Hanover Park, IL/Bartlett High School), MATC notched back to back singles on four pitches. The runners advanced into scoring position after tagging up on a deep flyout to centerfield. They both would come around to score on a Julian Jimenez walk off single.

Justin Gadomski (Schaumburg, IL/Schaumburg High School) led Harper with two hits in four at bats and notched the team's lone RBI.  The Hawks didn't commit a single error in the field.
