In a competitive match against nationally-ranked #22 Rock Valley College, Harper Volleyball battled closely in all three sets but ultimately fell short. The Hawks were led by Mira Tchohadjieva, who tallied 7 kills and 2 blocks, while Morgan Krieter added 7 kills and was 12-of-13 serving with 1 ace. Phoebe Kim contributed with 21 assists and 6 digs. Result: Harper won 20-25, 18-25, 25-18, 26-24, 17-15.
Harper pulled off a thrilling five-set victory against Spoon River after falling behind 0-2. The Hawks rallied to win the next three sets. Tchohadjieva was a force with 18 kills on 34 attempts (44% efficiency), while Lauren Ahlstedt chipped in with 15 kills. Setter Kim orchestrated the offense with 55 assists and added 15 digs, securing a double-double. Krieter was a key factor both offensively and defensively, posting 12 kills and a team-high 24 digs, also posting a double-double. The match was capped off with timely serving from Maya Sokolowski, who contributed 2 aces, including one in the deciding fifth set.
