Hawks MBB Falls Short in Late Rally, 91-89

Crystal Lake, IL: The Hawks men's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking 91-89 loss on the road to the McHenry County Scots, despite a valiant comeback effort in the final minutes.  

Trailing by 13 points with just four minutes to play, the Hawks mounted an inspired rally, cutting the deficit to 90-89 with 10 seconds remaining. A missed free throw by McHenry County gave Harper a chance to tie or win the game, but Andre Anderson's potential game-winning shot just missed the mark, sealing the narrow defeat.  

Anderson delivered a strong performance, finishing with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Amari Northcutt led all Hawks scorers with 20 points, while Daniel Tewogbade and Luke Sinisa chipped in 15 and 13 points, respectively. Sinisa also contributed across the board with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.  


The loss extends the Hawks' losing streak to six games. However, they will have an opportunity to turn things around tonight as they take on Morton College in Cicero.
