Hawks WBB Defeated by MCC

Crystal Lake, IL: The Hawks women's basketball team faced a tough matchup on the road, falling to the McHenry County Scots in the MCC Gymnasium in Crystal Lake, IL. Despite the loss, the Hawks showed continued improvement and had contributions from key players.  

For the Hawks, Gabriella Swanson and Meghan Ewanio shared scoring honors with 12 points each. Swanson also made her presence felt across the stat sheet, grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. Ashley Harrison matched Swanson's assist total with 5 of her own, showcasing the team's unselfish ball movement.  

On the defensive end, Kinsley Stillman anchored the Hawks with 8 defensive rebounds, 2 steals, and a block, providing a strong presence in limiting second-chance opportunities for the Scots.  

The Scots were led by Zoie Lewis, who delivered a stellar performance, scoring 20 points on just nine shots to pace her team to victory.

While the Hawks have only one win, their growing cohesion and individual performances are bright spots. The team's depth and effort continue to develop. Their next matchup is at home vs Waubonsee on December 19th.
