Hawks Shut Out at South Suburban

South Holland, IL: The Hawks traveled to DI South Suburban Tuesday afternoon for a nine inning bout.

Their streak of scoring in the first inning is over at seven games after being shut out 0-5. The game should have been closer had the Hawks been sharper on defense considering the five errors they totaled. It will be hard for them to win games regardless of how they hit if they lack focus in the field.

The team was outhit four to nine, with singles by Brian Jensen, Quinton Johnston, Tommy Jusi, and Luke Read for the Hawks.

Mitchell Janczak took the loss for the Hawks with only two earned runs out of the four he gave up. He had struck out two with two walks. Steven Byrne came in for relief pitching five solid innings with four strikeouts and two walks.


The Hawks will travel to DI McHenry County College on Thursday afternoon at 2 PM.
