Hawks Split Games at DuPage

Glen Ellyn, IL: The Hawks split a pair of games against rival College of DuPage on Saturday evening. 

Game 1
The Chaps got out to a large lead in the third inning and never looked back.

Samuel Del Valle had two hits while Quinton Johnston and Brian Jensen each had a RBI.

Mitchell Janczak started for the Hawks on the hill and went two and one-third innings allowing six runs.

Game 2
The Hawks got on the board first and held on for the win despite a three run rally in the bottom of the seventh by DuPage.

Luke Read had a RBI single in the second to start things off for the Hawks. Johnston scored the run. In the third, Johnston doubled scoring Tommy Jusi.

Read led the Hawks with two runs going two for two in the game. Johnston and Jensen both added two hits as well. The Hawks fielding has been much improved as of late as well with another game with no errors committed.

Jermaine Salcedo went the entire way with a complete game win. He allowed four runs in seven innings striking out three.



The Hawks play next at home vs McHenry County College on Monday, April 1st.
