Hawks Lose Both in Double-Header

Moline, IL: The Hawks faced Blackhawk College on Saturday afternoon in a double-header. They fell 1-11 and 1-4.

Game 1
The Hawks got on the board first with a Brian Jensen single in the top of the first inning. Unfortunately that was all the offense they could muster in the first of two games.

The Braves had four extra base hits including two home runs en route to their 11 runs.

Despite striking out six over five innings Mason Hulligan earned the loss.

Quinton Johnston led for the Hawks at the plate going 2/2 with a walk.

Game 2
The Hawks once again got on the board first, this time with a Kyle Odeshoo single in the top of the first inning. Once again that was all the scoring they could manage.

Poor fielding allowed for opportunities for the Braves and they capitalized enough.

Steven Byrne started for the Hawks and earned the loss despite allowing only two earned runs and striking out three.



Up next for the Hawks is an away game on Tuesday, March 12th, at College of Lake County.
