Women's Soccer Opens Season with Tough Loss

Box Score Palatine, IL: Harper opened their season at home against DuPage in a tough 1-3 loss.

Madison SchoiaThe Hawks got out to a fast start with a goal from Madison Schiola within the first 10 minutes of the game. Nicole Castro assisted on the play. The Chaparrals answered quickly with a goal of their own to even things up and eventually led by 1 at the half.

The Chaps added a third goal late in the second half as the Hawks tired out by games end. Meghan Ewanio finished the game with 7 saves.

The team has had some late additions to the roster and conditioning will be a priority for them as they catch up. The Hawks look to have a strong season as they played hard until the end.

The men's basketball team came out in numbers again to support the Hawks as they continue to be our best fans within the department.

The Hawks will play next at home against Joliet next Friday, August 30th, at 4:00 PM.
