Balanced Attack Lifts Hawks Past Panthers

Chicago, IL: The Hawks showcased a balanced offensive effort to defeat the Olive-Harvey Panthers, 77-69, in a game with special significance for head coach LaMario Richards, who previously coached at Olive-Harvey before joining Harper last season.

The Hawks stormed out of the gates, building a commanding 46-30 halftime lead with efficient scoring and dominance on the boards. Though the Panthers rallied in the second half, Harper held their ground to secure the victory.

Andre Anderson led the Hawks with 15 points, while Luke Sinisa continued his stellar play with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Amari Northcutt contributed 13 points, Joe Calombo Kimbirima added 12 points and 3 steals, and Sean Spencer recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

For Olive-Harvey, Christopher Hammond paced the Panthers with 15 points but couldn't overcome Harper's depth and balanced scoring.

The Hawks shot 47% from the field but struggled from long range, hitting just 22.2% of their three-point attempts. They capitalized enough on second-chance opportunities and free throws, converting 65% from the stripe.

With the win, Harper improved their position in the standings and delivered a statement victory for Coach Richards against his former program. The Hawks will look to build on this momentum in their next contest.
