Hawks Struggle in Home Loss to Ranked Bobcats

Palatine, IL: The Hawks men's basketball team hosted the #22-ranked Bryant & Stratton Bobcats on November 18 and despite competing with effort, the Hawks were defeated 80-38. The Bobcats built an early lead and maintained control throughout, keeping the Hawks in a difficult position against one of Region 4's stronger opponents.

Harper's offense faced a tough night against Bryant & Stratton's pressure, shooting just under 30 percent from the field and connecting on only one three-pointer.
Darrion Pippen led the Hawks with 10 points and nine rebounds while battling on both ends. Kevin Edgecombe contributed seven points and five rebounds while contesting around the basket, and Vanja and Marin Mrduljas provided energy with five points each in limited minutes. Rashad Peeples scored three points while working to create looks against a length-driven defense. Oscar Engfors and Wesley White added two points apiece, and Isaiah Manley had two points and three rebounds off the bench.

Turnovers and scoring droughts were factors throughout the game as Bryant & Stratton's efficient offense pushed Harper's defense to react quickly in transition. The Bobcats outpaced the Hawks in field goal percentage and used their depth to sustain offensive balance beyond the arc. Harper had 25 turnovers and was limited in second-chance opportunities, contributing to the scoring gap.
