Madison, WI: The Hawks women's basketball team fought hard on the road Saturday but dropped an 82-46 decision at Madison College in a Region 4 contest. Harper showed moments of better execution and resilience, but Madison's balanced attack and consistent scoring pace proved tough to overcome.

Harper trailed 20-1 after the first quarter and continued to play with determination throughout the remaining periods, scoring 14 in the second, 13 in the third, and 18 in the fourth.

Kinsley Stillman led the Hawks with 12 points, shooting efficiently on her looks and pulling down 10 rebounds. Gabriella Swanson finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds, anchoring the frontcourt with her presence on both ends. Marque Taylor added 9 points and 5 rebounds, and Ariana Buss contributed 10 points, including one three-pointer, while adding defensive pressure with 3 steals. Xzandria Turner scored 3 points in extended minutes. Hailey Franczkowski did not score but played a role in the team's effort.

Harper finished the game 12 of 36 (33.3 percent) from the field and 3 of 10 (30 percent) from three-point range, while knocking down 19 of 36 (52.8 percent) of free throw attempts. The Hawks showed improvement as the game progressed, shooting more consistently in the second half and attacking the rim when opportunities arose.
