Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Hawks Drop Third Straight

Chicago, IL: The Hawks men's basketball team traveled to Chicago to face Harry S. Truman College on November 6 and played a spirited game before falling 63-72 in their third contest of the young season. The Hawks showed energy and fight from start to finish, keeping the game close and continuing to develop the composure and chemistry that have been hallmarks in recent weeks.

Harper was led offensively by
Darrion Pippen and Kevin Edgecombe, each finishing with 16 points. Pippen battled efficiently from the floor, while Edgecombe contributed strong minutes inside and pulled down 12 rebounds, anchoring the Hawks' efforts on the glass. Rashad Peeples added 15 points in another consistent showing, and Vanja Mrduljas chipped in with 12 points as part of a balanced scoring effort. Marin Mrduljas provided defensive presence and energy in limited minutes.

The Hawks shot over 40 percent from the field and made six triples on the night, but turnovers and stretches of tough defensive possessions allowed Truman to pull ahead, especially in the second half. Harper's bench activity and overall effort kept them within striking distance late, but the visitor was unable to close the gap in the final minutes.
