Hawks Struggle in Road Game at Truman

Chicago, IL: The Hawks women's basketball team fell 70–48 at Truman College Thursday evening. Truman built an early lead and maintained control throughout the game, holding Harper to 12 points in each quarter while finishing with a 22-point margin of victory.

Harper's offense found some rhythm from long range at times, hitting 24.3% from three (9 of 37), but struggled inside the arc, finishing 23.4% overall from the field (15 of 64). The team also struggled from the line going 7 of 16. 

Zariela Myles led the Hawks with 11 points, connecting on three three-pointers while adding 4 rebounds. Hailey Franczkowski followed with 10 points, hitting two shots from long range. Marque Taylor (/Rochester High School (PA)) contributed 10 points and 6 rebounds, and Ariana Buss scored 9 points while adding 2 steals.

On the boards, Gabriella Swanson battled hard with 22 total rebounds, and Kinsley Stillman finished with 7 rebounds of her own. Harper finished with 47 rebounds as a team. 

Harper will aim to regroup as it continues region play and gains experience on the road and at home in the early portion of the 2025-26 season.
