Hawks Drop Home Game to #5 Parkland Cobras

Palatine, IL: The Hawks men's basketball team hosted the #5-ranked Parkland Cobras on December 11 and fell 91–57 in a Region 24 matchup. Parkland's depth and scoring balance established control early, and the Cobras maintained a double-digit lead throughout the evening. Harper competed hard, but Parkland's efficiency on both ends made it difficult for the Hawks to gain traction.

Harper's offense was paced by Joe Calombo Kimbirima with 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting, while Rashad Peeples added nine points including a three-pointer. Darrion Pippen scored eight points with seven rebounds, and Marin Mrduljas provided 10 points on strong interior play. Vanja Mrduljas finished with eight points, Isaiah Manley scored five, Kevin Edgecombe added four points with seven rebounds, and Wesley White scored two. Harper shot 40 percent from the field and made three of 18 three-point attempts, with six of eight free throws converting.

Parkland came out strong on both ends and built a 44-23 advantage by halftime. The Cobras' efficient ball movement and scoring depth kept Harper defending through most of the second half, and Parkland extended its lead to secure the road win. Harper turned the ball over 16 times, which contributed to extra possessions and points for the Cobras.
