Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Hawks Mount 4th Quarter Comeback, Fall in OT

Palatine, IL: The Hawks women's basketball team showed grit and determination in a hard-fought battle against the Kishwaukee Kougars, ultimately falling 64-58 in overtime.

Despite trailing for much of the game, the Hawks mounted an impressive fourth-quarter comeback to force overtime. The rally was made even more impressive as they had to adjust without starting point guard
Xzandria Turner, who exited the game in the second half. In Turner's absence, Taliyah Morales stepped up in a big way, willing the Hawks back into the game. Morales led the team with 17 points and 7 rebounds, including a clutch contested three-pointer that sent the game to overtime.

Gabriella Swanson and Anjanae Tyree were dominant in the paint, controlling the boards and providing key contributions on both ends of the floor. Swanson finished with 14 points and 18 rebounds, while Tyree added 8 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 steals.

While the Hawks came up short, their offensive improvement and relentless effort were on full display. They continue to make strides and prove they can compete. Harper will look to build on this performance as they prepare for their next game against Rock Valley on Tuesday.
