Hawks Battle Hard Against Defending Region Champs

Rockford, IL: The Hawks put up a strong fight against the defending NJCAA DII Region 4 and Midwest District B Champion Rock Valley Golden Eagles but ultimately came up short in a hard-fought contest. Despite missing starting point guard Xzandria Turner, the Hawks embraced a "next player up" mentality and showed resilience throughout the game.  

Meghan Ewanio led the charge with 11 points and 8 rebounds, providing a steady presence on both ends of the floor. Gabriella Swanson continued to make an impact off the ball, hauling in 8 rebounds and racking up 4 steals to keep the Hawks competitive.  

Harper now turns its focus to tomorrow night's matchup against the Joliet Wolves. The Hawks will be back at the Hawks' Fieldhouse, where they'll celebrate Sophomore Night and look to bounce back with a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
