Hawks Finish 2nd at Region 4 Duals

Cicero, IL: The Hawks finished in second place behind Triton in the annual event hosted by Morton College.

In their opening match against Joliet, Ali Adel (197 lbs) set the tone with a dominant pin over Paul Claussen in just 1:29. The Hawks controlled the dual, securing a 36-16 victory.

Against Morton, the Hawks delivered a commanding performance, winning 50-6. Joey Sikorsky (125 lbs) started strong with a 21-5 technical fall over Juan Villa. Lennon Steinkuehler (149 lbs) followed with a 17-1 technical fall over Angel Nava, while Ethan Wojtowich (165 lbs) pinned Khaled Alkelane in 3:49..

In the final matchup against Triton, the Hawks fell 41-11 to the Trojans. Despite the loss, Ethan Wojtowich (165 lbs) and Emmanuel Mejia (184 lb) picked up wins for Harper.

With a second-place finish, the Hawks showed strong individual performances and continue to build momentum as the season progresses. The Hawks will host the Great Lakes District Championship on Sunday, February 23rd in the Hawks' Fieldhouse.
