Hawks eSports Continues Strong Start

Palatine, IL: The Hawks Valorant team continued their dominant season with a commanding 2-0 win over Universtiy of Illinois Springfield, securing victories of 13-4 and 13-3. With this latest triumph, the Hawks are proving themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

Head coach Don Curley praised his team's performance, stating, "Another fantastic game from the team! They are absolutely dominating, and if this performance keeps up, we are looking at another undefeated season with a conference title in our reach."

One of the standout players of the match was Victoria "Vicxs" Jedryk, who racked up an impressive 31 kills throughout the series while playing the Sentinel role—typically a more defensive position. Her impact was especially felt in gaame two, where she secured multiple key rounds, including a crucial four-kill play that helped propel the Hawks to a swift victory.

Beyond individual performances, the team's cohesion and communication were key factors in their success. Much of that credit goes to team captain Giovanni "polar_bear"  Romero, whose in-game leadership has been instrumental in the team's continued improvement. His mix of stern yet supportive guidance has helped the squad find its rhythm, creating a clear and concise communication structure that proved vital in this match.

The Hawks play eSports team has their first Marvel Rivals qualifier tomorrow and the Valorant picks up again on Monday against Morningside University.
