Hawks Fall to Coach Neberieza's Former Team

Palatine, IL: The Hawks women's basketball team faced a tough challenge on the road, falling to the Prairie State Pioneers 60-12. It was a reunion of sorts for Hawks head coach Mari Neberieza, who previously served as an assistant under Prairie State's Tanner Kuehn last season.  

The Hawks struggled to find an offensive rhythm, with Gabriella Swanson leading the team in scoring with just four points while also grabbing a team-high seven rebounds. Meghan Ewanio made an impact on the defensive end, recording three steals.  

Prairie State was led by Re'Niya Ford, who paced the Pioneers with 17 points.  

Harper will look to bounce back in their next game when they host Kankakee at the Hawks' Fieldhouse on the 4th at 5 PM.
