Hawks Blank Morton in Doubleheader Sweep

Schaumburg, IL: The Harper Hawks delivered a dominant performance on Tuesday, sweeping the Morton Panthers in a meaningful Region 4 doubleheader. For Head Coach Dom Milano and Assistant Coach Mason Schaller, the sweep carried extra weight as both are alumni of Morton's program. The Hawks made their return count, blanking the Panthers 10-0 in six innings in Game 1 and 8-0 in Game 2.

Game 1: Geake and Dorka Lead the Way
The Hawks wasted no time taking control of the opener. Spencer Geake led the offensive charge with two extra-base hits — a double and a triple — while Connor Kave added a double of his own. On the mound, Ethan Dorka was lights out, tossing a complete game shutout and earning his fifth win of the season. The game was called after six innings as Harper's offense surged and Dorka shut down any attempt at a Panthers rally.

Game 2: Zalewski Shines as Hawks Complete Sweep
Harper's momentum carried over into Game 2. The Hawks piled on runs again, this time behind timely singles and an RBI double from Cameron King, their lone extra-base hit of the game. Zach Zalewski kept Morton off the scoreboard with six strikeouts over a strong outing, earning his third win of the season.


The Hawks will travel to Lake County for their next matchup on Thursday, looking to keep their winning ways alive.
