Hawks Offense Shines, But Triton Takes Two

River Grove, IL: The Hawks continued their early-season road stretch with a doubleheader against the Triton Trojans, falling 13-5 and 12-5 in a pair of high-scoring contests. Despite the losses, the Hawks showed continued improvement at the plate, putting together their most consistent offensive outing of the season.

In game one, Harper saw seven different players record hits, with sophomore
Brianna Linnemann leading the way with a two-hit performance. The Hawks flashed their power as four players—Linnemann, Sophia Cobos, Isabella Kmilek, and Destiny Nino—each ripped a double. Samantha Sok added a major highlight, launching the team's first home run of the season. Still, Triton's offense proved too much to contain as they pulled away late.

Game two brought more of the same offensively for Harper, with
Linnemann continuing her red-hot day with three more hits, including another double. Gabriella Phillis also joined the doubles parade, helping the Hawks stay competitive throughout the game.

While the results weren't what Harper hoped for, the bats are beginning to heat up, giving the team something to build on as they work through their early season schedule.
