Hawks Drop Third Straight in Competitive Battle with #10 Cavaliers

Palatine, IL: The Hawks showed significant improvement in their second matchup against nationally ranked Kankakee but ultimately fell 8-4 on the road. After a lopsided 21-3 loss to the Cavaliers earlier this season, Harper put up a stronger fight behind a gritty performance from Logan Sarna, who pitched 8.2 innings in the loss.

Offensively, the Hawks recorded 11 hits, including doubles from Nick Drtina and Joey Glozier. Glozier and Dominic Jacoby each drove in two runs, helping Harper stay within striking distance for much of the game. Despite the progress, the Hawks couldn't overcome a late push by the Cavaliers.

Harper will look to regroup and snap their three-game skid in their next outing.
